Jardin de Curé
In the box parterres one finds a collection of David Austin’s English Roses ; with espaliered fruit trees and artichokes contributing to the symmetry and the style of the “Curé’s Garden”.
The English Garden
Mixed borders of flowering perennials in colour themes surround an oval lawn. Climbing roses scramble through the fruits trees and over pergolas… ambiance cottage garden !
The Rose of Yesteryear
Designed around a celtic cross form and with a large wooden pergola covered with climbing roses as a centre-piece, this “Rose Garden within a Rose Garden” contains mostly old-fashioned roses. Discover some of the oldest amongst these, with their exceptionally beautiful flowers and perfumes.
The Allée of old fruit trees and the frog pond
A grassed walkway through the fruit trees.
The Gravel Garden
Trees, shrubs, roses and perennials provide a sumptuous planting. The winding gravel path leads you gently through this part of the garden towards a more and more natural setting.
The Woodland Rose Garden
A collection of botanic deciduous trees creates a backdrop structure providing lightly dappled shade. In the clearings a collection of botanic, old-fashioned and English Roses (all chosen particularly for their natural appearance) create volume and masses of flower and perfume. Here one finds some rare botanic roses, from as far afield as China or North America, which are allowed to grow as they would in the wild, thus maturing into impressive specimens. A refreshingly natural way of using roses and blending them into this restful setting.
The Path of Wisdom
An old tree-lined cart track lends itself to a relaxing stroll that leads you to the inviting benches placed in the shade. Philosophical quotes written on slates, that you discover along the way, contribute to the sense of peacefulness that we hope our visitors carry with them when they leave.

« Le Jardin des Rosiers » is not a nursery and we do not sell plants by mail order: however a small choice of roses in containers are on sale to visitors when the garden opens.
